On the back line, Carl amassed 20 assists, four aces, three kills, two blocks and eight digs, Mingle finishing with 18 digs.In defeat, Liverpool had Lexi Carfi and Kaylah Yarn each finish with four kills, while Carfi earned six assists and Veronica DeTota picked up five assists.Right after the F- M match, C-NS had to play again 24 hours later against visiting Oswego, but managed to beat the Buccaneers 25-16, 25-15, 25-9.Carl produced 13 assists, three aces and four kills, with Ormond getting 15 assists. Johnston had seven kills to pace a balanced front line as Nicolaos had six kills, with Segars and Lesinski getting five kills apiece, Houston four kills and Mingle earning nine digs.The Northstars swept Henninger 25-6, 25-5, 25-10 on Thursday night, the totals including eight aces from Madison Roche and seven aces from Ormond to go with her 15 assists. Carl had 11 assists and 11 digs as Nicolaos and Madeline Howell had five kills apiece, Howell adding four aces and Segars and Emma Koenig both earning four kills.Before it faced C-NS, Liverpool returned to action last Tuesday and looked for a regular-season sweep of West Genesee, but instead got swept as, with an impressive all-around effort, the Wildcats beating the Warriors 25-22, 25-13, 25-16.Though  Carfi finished with 12 assists, no Liverpool player had more than the three kills put up by Abby Rowell and Sarah Ayling. On WG’s side, Anna Snyder, with 27 assists, and Mackenzie Winn, with eight digs, led the way as Phoebe Anderson earned seven kills.It turned around on Thursday night, Liverpool handling Corcoran 25-14, 25-9, 25-18. Carfi finished with five kills and three assists, while Yarn had four aces and Emma Terzini got three aces. DeTota had three assists.Liverpool’s lone match this week is at Henninger on Thursday.
